Day 1: AREQUIPA / CITY TOUR
Reception at the Airport and transfer to the hotel, rest of the day free for acclimatization, in the afternoon departure to visit the white city of Arequipa, the main square where the snow-capped peaks of the Misti and Chachani volcanoes project their immaculate whiteness over the neoclassical-style cathedral and the church of the Company. We will discover the timeless convent of Santa Catalina, which harmoniously combines the warmth of its paved alleys with the freshness of its shaded courtyards, lunch at a Picantería and free afternoon to stroll through the city.
Day 2: AREQUIPA / COLCA CANYON / AREQUIPA
Early departure in the morning to the Colca Canyon, located 180 km from the city with a journey of approximately 05 hours, crossing a spectacular natural scenery, highlands, and characteristic villages such as Yura, Nevado, Chachani, Volcano, Misti, Canahuas, Viscachani, Tojra, Patrapampa. You will also pass through the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve, where numerous specimens of vicuñas, llamas, and alpacas live undisturbed. Tour with natural scenarios and typical altiplano landscape until reaching the “Cruz del Cóndor,” a privileged observation point for the flight of the condors, as well as for a beautiful landscape and the depth of the canyon. Visit to the villages of the Colca Valley and observation of pre-Inca agricultural terraces. Then in the afternoon, return to Arequipa.
