The 4-night luxury cruise by Aqua Expedition on the Aria Amazon starts in the city of Nauta, Peru, and transports guests with exceptional comfort to the Amazon rainforest, along the Ucayali River, the largest tributary of the Amazon, as well as four other rivers, each rich in vibrant wildlife with lush tropical jungles. Go fishing for piranhas, hike through dense jungle in search of Amazonian monkeys, three-toed sloths, crowned hoatzin birds, toucans, macaws, and giant water lilies.
Return in the comfort of our skiffs to see Taricaya turtles and spectacled caimans in their natural habitat, while pink dolphins play to challenge your photographic skills. DAY 01 MONDAY:
IQUITOS / NAUTA / EMBARKATION / AMAZON RIVER
Upon arrival in the morning*, our crew will give you a warm welcome at the Iquitos International Airport before enjoying lunch at a local restaurant or during the route to the boat. The afternoon will continue with a tour of the historic city of Iquitos and a visit to an Amazonian indigenous community. In the evening, we will board the Aria Amazon. As you settle into your spacious suite, one of the greatest adventures of your life will begin. After meeting our naturalist guides and conducting a routine safety drill, at the restaurant you will enjoy the first of several Amazon-inspired gastronomic experiences, created by Aria Amazon’s renowned consulting chef, Pedro Miguel Schiaffino.

DAY 02 TUESDAY:
YANALLPA RIVER – DORADO RIVER
We will wake up very early with the sun to observe a great variety of birds. On board a boat, we will explore the black waters of the Yanallpa River before disembarking and venturing into the Amazon jungle. Later, still on board the boat, we will navigate along the El Dorado River on an excursion to explore exotic nocturnal wildlife.

DAY 03 WEDNESDAY:
PACAYA RIVER – UCAYALI RIVER – TAPICHE RIVER
The best reward for starting the day very early is a full-day boat excursion along the Pacaya River. You will discover the pristine landscape inhabited by great egrets, capuchin monkeys, and Taricaya turtles. After lunch, you will enjoy a demonstration of paiche fishing. Later, we will sail on the Ucayali River in search of the friendly pink river dolphins.

DAY 04 THURSDAY:
CLAVERO RIVER OR YARAPA RIVER – AMAZON RIVER
In the morning, you can choose between hiking in the jungle, canoeing, kayaking, or swimming. In the afternoon, we will visit a remote Amazonian village. In the evening, before dinner, you will meet the extraordinary crew working behind the scenes to ensure you have an exceptional experience on board the Aria Amazon. DAY 05 FRIDAY:
ARRIVAL IN IQUITOS – MANATEE RESCUE CENTER – TRANSFER TO AIRPORT
In the morning, we will take a guided tour of the local market. You will marvel at the regional products of the Peruvian Amazon and, if you wish, sample exotic snacks. If interested, in the San Francisco community, you will have the opportunity to visit an expert beekeeper’s apiary. Then we will return to the Aria Amazon for breakfast and packing before disembarking. En route to the airport, we will visit the Manatee Rescue Center, where orphaned Amazonian manatees are rehabilitated before being released into the wild.
