DAY 01: LIMA/ PUERTO MALDONADO / ECOAMAZONIA LODGE.
Upon arrival in Puerto Maldonado, the Capital of Biodiversity of Peru, visitors are received at the airport. The program begins with a bus tour of the city, followed by a motorized boat trip from Puerto Capitanía along the Madre de Dios River. During the journey, various species such as Capybaras, Caimans, Turtles, Herons, and Cormorants can be observed.
At the lodge, guests are greeted with a refreshing nectar of tropical fruits and taken to their comfortable rooms. A succulent lunch is served in the cozy rustic dining room. Subsequently, a specialized guide leads visitors on an interpretive trail to Cocha Caimán, a lagoon with the presence of black and white caimans.
At sunset, upon returning to the lodge, you can enjoy a spectacular Amazon sunset from the riverbank. The day ends with a delicious dinner and free time in the bar, equipped with a board game lounge and a variety of beverages.
DAY 02: LAKE SANDOVAL / MONKEY ISLAND
The day begins with the charming songs of paradise birds and the call of the howler monkey. After a hearty early breakfast, a boat trip upstream for about an hour and fifteen minutes begins, arriving at the entrance of Lake Sandoval. A one-and-a-half-hour walk through the lush vegetation of the tropical forest begins, observing a wide variety of flora and fauna in the wild. Upon reaching the channel of Lake Sandoval, a rowboat is taken to enter the majestic lake and take a ride surrounded by natural beauty. There are unique opportunities to observe birds such as parrots, macaws, toucans, reptiles such as caimans, turtles, and, with luck, the majestic River Otter in its natural habitat. After the lake tour, the return to the pier begins, followed by a canoe trip back to the Lodge. A restorative lunch awaits at the lodge.
DAY 03: ECO AMAZONIA LODGE / LIMA
After a restful night’s sleep, our breakfast awaits you in our dining room before returning to Puerto Maldonado, in time for you to take your flight back to Lima or any other destination.
