Day 01 CUSCO / PUNO / TIWANAKU / UYUNI SALT FLATS
Departure on sleeper bus the previous night, arrival in Puno breakfast and then departure towards Desaguadero Peru Bolivia border, immigration procedures, and departure towards the archaeological site of Tiwanaku, where you can appreciate the lithic remains of the extinct Tiwanaku civilization, prior to the Inca civilization such as the Pyramid of Akapana, the monolith Benneth, the semi-subterranean temple, Kalasasaya, Puerta del Sol. Short stop in Laja, where the city of La Paz was founded, beautiful view of the Cordillera from the apacheta. Lunch and then departure towards Uyuni
Day 02 LA PAZ / UYUNI SALT FLATS
Breakfast at the hotel, then at 10:45 departure towards the Train Cemetery located about 10 minutes from the city of Uyuni – Colchani is a small town that is like the gateway to the salt flats where the inhabitants engage in salt exploitation manually, you can also buy salt crafts carved manually – The Uyuni Salt Flats have an approximate area of 10582 km2. The salt crust has an average thickness of 6 to 10 meters deep, constituting the largest salt layer in the world, it is estimated that around 10 trillion tons of salt or sodium chloride, lithium, boron, magnesium, potassium, strontium, etc., rest on it – Salt pyramids are piles of salt in which workers remove the outer layer and pile it up exposing it to the sun for dehydration, then this salt is transported to the town of Colchani to be processed and commercialized – Salt Hotel First hotel built with adobe made of Salt, it is located inside the salt flat and functions only as a museum visitors can walk and take photographs inside the hotel – return to Uyuni
Day 03 STAR TOUR / DESAGUADERO / PUNO
Start at 03:00 Departure towards the Uyuni Salt Flats this majestic place has an approximate area of 10582 km2. The salt crust has an average thickness of 6 to 10 meters deep, constituting the largest salt layer in the world it is estimated that around 10 trillion tons of salt or sodium chloride, lithium, boron, magnesium, potassium, strontium, etc., you can observe the Reflection of the Stars in the salt flats commonly called the Milky Way, these impressive scenarios can be appreciated where there is a higher concentration of water, a highly visited place by tourists because it allows us to take extraordinary photographs of the reflection of the stars in the salt flats and also of the Sunrise.
Arrival in Uyuni at 08:00 breakfast and return to Desaguadero, immigration procedures and return to Puno and then to Cusco
