Day 01 LA PAZ / CITY TOUR
Welcome reception and Coca Tea, transfer to the Hotel and rest of the afternoon free for acclimatization, then departure to visit the City of La Paz, Half-day tour visiting the main attractions of the city such as the Government Palace, the Congress, Cathedral, Gold Museum, Witches’ Market, Handicraft Market, San Francisco Church, Residential area, and Valley of the Moon.
Day 02 TIWANAKU
Breakfast at the hotel Departure to the city of El Alto to take the road that will lead us to Tiwanaku, which is 72 Km away, where you can appreciate the lithic remains of the extinct Aymara civilization, prior to the Inca as the Akapana Pyramid, the Benneth monolith, Semi-Subterranean temple, Kalasasaya, Gate of the Sun. Short stop in Laja, where the city of La Paz was founded, beautiful view of the Cordillera from the apacheta. Return to the city of La Paz
Day 03 LA PAZ / UYUNI SALT FLATS
Breakfast at the hotel, then at 10:45 departure towards the Train Cemetery located about 10 minutes from the city of Uyuni – Colchani is a small town that is like the gateway to the salt flats where the inhabitants are dedicated to the exploitation of salt manually, likewise, you can buy handicrafts made of salt carved by hand – The Uyuni Salt Flats has an approximate surface of 10582 km2. The salt crust has an average thickness of 6 to 10 meters deep, constituting the largest salt layer in the world, it is estimated that around 10 trillion tons of salt or sodium chloride, lithium, boron, magnesium, potassium, strontium, etc. rest – Salt pyramids are heaps of salt in which workers remove the outer layer and pile it up exposing it to the sun for dehydration, then this salt is transported to the town of Colchani to be processed and marketed – Salt Hotel First hotel built with salt adobes, it is located inside the salt flats and functions only as a museum, visitors can walk and take photographs inside the hotel – return to Uyuni
Day 04 UYUNI SALT FLATS / LA PAZ
Start at 03:00 Departure towards the Uyuni Salt Flats this majestic place has an approximate surface of 10582 km2. The salt crust has an average thickness of 6 to 10 meters deep, constituting the largest salt layer in the world it is estimated that around 10 trillion tons of salt or sodium chloride, lithium, boron, magnesium, potassium, strontium, etc., you can observe the Reflection of the Stars in the salt flats commonly called the Milky Way, these impressive scenarios can be appreciated where there is a higher concentration of water, a very visited place by tourists because it allows us to take extraordinary photographs of the reflection of the stars in the salt flats and also of the Sunrise. Arrival in Uyuni at approximately 08:00.
Day 05 UYUNI / LA PAZ
